Melbourne-born interior designer, Victoria Myer, creates charismatic and timeless spaces that resist trends, layering antiques with contemporary objects and beautiful materials.
After a childhood spent in the sprawling Australian countryside in Jingellic NSW – riding horses, climbing trees, helping to manage the homestead, and tending to a garden shaded by Elm trees – Myer’s signature style was born. As a result, she designs with the city and country in mind and always balances harmony and comfort with form and function.
With a Bachelor in Commerce from Melbourne University, Myer’s interior-design career began in 2012 when she moved to New York to complete a degree in Interior and Spatial Design at Parsons. Myer then went on to work under Kit Kemp at Firmdale Hotels in London (assisting with the development of the Ham Yard Hotel), before a stint at Katharine Pooley where she worked with a team designing luxury interiors for highly discerning clients in Europe and the Middle East.
In 2016 Myer was ready to found her own interior-design studio and has since carried out a diverse array of commercial and residential projects across the globe. Myer has also developed a furniture and homewares range, spanning coffee-table accessories made from materials sourced in Africa, to rare collectables and sculptural furniture designs.
“I believe that a home should be a representation of the people that reside within it. When designing a space, it's integral to understand how my clients want to live and the ideas that define their tastes. My focus is always on the realities of what makes a beautiful and meaningful environment.”
